Course Description:

The Pontiac Lake Trail is regarded as one of the best mountain bike trails in the state of Michigan. The race will be held on a 10 mile loop.

The race will start on a fire road that will have everyone jockeying for position. It then takes a left turn into a section of double track, which soon turns into single track. The first couple miles of the course include a number of climbs, reaching the highest point of the trail overlooking Pontiac Lake. This trail provides an excellent mix of terrain including a fast fire road, drop offs, jarring rock gardens, super fast downhills, and the infamous “Half Pipe.” The loop ends on the same fire road that it started on, which will provide excellent passing opportunities, as well as a flat-out sprint finish. The fastest riders should expect to see lap times around 40-45 minutes.

Directions:

From I-94:

Take M14 east (exit 171) for about 5 miles to US-23 North (towards Flint/Brighton). After about 25 miles, take the M-59 exit (exit 67) east (right) toward Pontiac. After about 15 miles, turn left (north) onto Williams Lake Rd. Turn left onto Gale Rd., then left into the beach parking lot.
